The 61st Venice Biennale, titled In Minor Keys, runs from 9 May to 22 November 2026 across the Giardini and the Arsenale.
The edition was conceived by Koyo Kouoh, director of Zeitz MOCAA and the first African woman appointed to curate the International Art Exhibition. After her death in May 2025, the Biennale carried her vision forward posthumously with the support of her family. It remains the art world’s largest recurring survey of contemporary practice from around the globe.
